I went to a zoo on a Sunday,

Oh! It was such a fun-filled day.

There were monkeys on a tree,

How could they jump just like me?

A lion cub was playing with its dad,

It roared just like me when I’m mad.

Some fancy birds were chirping a pretty tune,

That was the same song I was singing that noon.

The turtle was so slow,

Sometimes I’m like that in the mornings, you know.

I saw a peacock; it was such a delight,

If only mom would let me color my hair so bright.

The zebras were happy to see me, I guess,

I have a similar black and white dress.

The giraffe’s spots were so cool,

I think I’ll be that tall if I stand on a stool.

The elephant’s ears were so big; its trunk so long,

Just like me, the elephant’s very strong.

Of all the animals, I liked panda the best,

Because just like me, it is the cutest.
